Job Summary
Conduct clinical site visits at multiple practicum locations throughout Louisiana during each 8-Week Session, typically spending 1-2 hours per site. Exhibit Chamberlain Care by demonstrating care, respect, and professionalism to foster collaboration among students and staff. Identify opportunities to enhance student engagement by reaching out to diverse learners and responding quickly to their needs. Introduce industry perspective into courses by sharing professional experience, nursing trends, and career opportunities with the student body. Maintain reliable transportation and availability to travel to designated clinical sites during weekday daytime hours.
Required Qualifications
- MSN and DNP or PHD in nursing degree
- Active unencumbered Louisiana RN nursing license
- Active unencumbered Louisiana APRN nursing license
- National certification through the AANP or ANCC
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel to a variety of clinical practicum sites throughout the region
- Availability and willingness to travel to a variety of clinical practicum sites throughout the region
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
- Preference for graduate level teaching experience
- Online teaching experience
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing practice in a clinical setting
- Required subject matter expertise in the course of instruction
- Excellent communication skills
- Motivational skills
- Instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
