Job Summary
Conduct site visits at multiple clinical practicum locations throughout Louisiana, typically once per 8-Week Session for each designated site, with visits lasting 1-2 hours. Exhibit Chamberlain Care by demonstrating care, respect, and professionalism while fostering collaboration among students and staff. Be readily available to meet the diverse needs of the student body, identify opportunities to enhance engagement, and respond quickly to requests for help. Bring professional experience to life by introducing industry perspectives, sharing nursing trends, and leveraging subject matter expertise in graduate-level courses. This role requires an active unencumbered Louisiana RN and APRN license, AANP or ANCC certification, and reliable transportation for travel during weekday daytime hours. Candidates must possess at least two years of teaching and clinical nursing practice experience.
Required Qualifications
- MSN and DNP or PHD in nursing degree
- Active unencumbered Louisiana RN nursing license
- Active unencumbered Louisiana APRN nursing license
- National certification through the AANP or ANCC
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel to a variety of clinical practicum sites throughout the region
- Availability and willingness to travel to a variety of clinical practicum sites throughout the region, typically one site visit per 8-Week Session for each designated location, typically during weekday/daytime hours
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing practice in a clinical setting
- Required subject matter expertise in the course of instruction
- Excellent communication skills
- Motivational skills
- Instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
