Job Summary
Lead and supervise daily operations of all personnel and processes within the department's appointment desks, including staffing, training, and policy implementation. Manage operational functions to maximize efficiency, serve customers, and maintain high employee morale and patient satisfaction. Assess and improve unit procedures, monitor team performance, and develop systems emphasizing patient courtesy and responsive service. Resolve patient complaints immediately while adapting communication styles to specific patient populations. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and internal privacy programs. Work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of related healthcare/clinical experience
- exhibited leadership or supervisory experience
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Ability to demonstrate excellent judgment
- Conflict resolution skills
- Strong delegation skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability)
- Reside in an eligible location (not Colorado, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, Washington D.C.)
