Job Summary
Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, perform triage, and accurately document patient history in the EMR system. Collect routine laboratory specimens, administer medications and non-intravenous injections, and start IVs or place catheters as needed. Perform clinical and laboratory procedures, including occupational medicine services like drug screening and pulmonary function testing, while enforcing HIPAA and OSHA compliance. Oversee quality assurance programs and CLIA waived laboratory requirements. Operate office medical equipment and travel to other Prisma Health Urgent Care locations as required. Full-time 3-day/12-hour shifts from 8 AM to 8 PM with no overnight work.
Required Qualifications
- Must be certified or registered as a Medical Assistant through an accredited organization (e.g., AMT for RMA/NHA or AAMA for CMA)
- 1+ year of healthcare experience
- Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
