Job Summary
Conduct triage, take vital signs, and document patient histories in the EMR system. Collect laboratory specimens and administer medications, including intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections. Perform clinical procedures such as starting IVs, placing catheters, and splinting, while assisting with occupational medicine services like drug screening and pulmonary function testing. Collect routine blood, urine, and oral swabs, and ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance. Operate office medical equipment and oversee quality assurance programs for CLIA waived laboratory requirements. Travel to other Prisma Health Urgent Care locations as needed to support staffing and operational needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be certified or registered as a Medical Assistant through an accredited organization (e.g., AMT for RMA/NHA or AAMA for CMA)
- 1+ year of healthcare experience
- Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications

- Experience using EPIC software
