Clinical Services Director –Mental and Behavioral Health Services

Job Summary
Provide direct clinical care, including mental health counseling and therapy for adolescents and adults in foster-care and adoption systems. Oversee clinical direction for supervisors and QMHPs, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor patient progress to ensure evidence-based outcomes. Assist with billing, authorizations, peer reviews, and third-party payor requirements while collaborating with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams. Ensure clinical quality and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and engage in community outreach. Develop policies, participate in budget planning and strategic initiatives, and mentor the clinical team. Reports to the Vice President of Operations in a hybrid role in Houston, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a recognized mental health field
- Valid, active, unrestricted license in Texas to practice in a mental health profession
- Extensive experience in mental health care, specifically with adolescents and young adults and in providing trauma-informed care
- Proven experience in managing and leading clinical teams
- Strong understanding and adherence of Texas mental health regulations and the laws pertaining to adolescent mental health treatment
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to develop therapeutic rapport with adolescents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care with a strong commitment to improving mental health outcomes
- Have a keen understanding and experience working within the payor requirements for establishing and maintaining medical necessity for clients throughout client experience
- Strong leadership competence with over 3 years of overseeing clinical operations
