Job Summary
Manages a team of professional staff responsible for the financial and management functions of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology to support teaching, medical research, and clinical care. Leads recruitment and onboarding of faculty, develops departmental plans, and provides leadership to exempt and non-exempt staff. Oversees reporting on revenue cycle performance, ensures compliance, contributes to section and organizational strategy, and supports cross-functional leadership in managing resources, priorities, and change while facilitating research initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required (college or university degree)
- 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in business, health care administration or related field
- Experience in healthcare and/or academic medical environments
- Demonstrated budgeting and forecasting experience
- Supervisory experience
- Experience with coding and charge capture (ICD-10CM and CPT-4)
- Experience with Epic revenue cycle and/or clinical applications
- Prior hospital finance experience (reimbursement, chargemaster, patient financial services, hospital operations)
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to adapt to change and act as a change agent
