Job Summary
Ophthalmic clinical scribe supporting physician with dictation and chair-side assistance; handles detailed documentation in EMR, performs eye-related measurements/tests (A-scans, B-scans, fundus photography, pachymetry, topography), applies eye drops and medications as ordered, prepares exam rooms, and communicates care instructions while ensuring HIPAA compliance; typical schedule is part-time with varied daily hours in a ophthalmology clinic.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive a motor vehicle
- Efficient computer skills and ability to type 40+ words per minute
- Experience working as a Medical Scribe (desired)
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience (desired)
- Knowledge of medical terminology (desired)
- Proficient in all Scribe I duties; OT-1 duties; has more than 1 year of experience (typical 1-3 years)
