Job Summary
Schedule endoscopy procedures generated from GI clinic appointments and manage cases from the endoscopy work queue. Communicate with endo schedulers, GI, and endo team regarding pertinent patient information, and maintain timely, accurate documentation in the patient charting system. Submit electronic health record elements to payers while ensuring compliance with regulatory and financial guidelines. Assist office clinical staff with proper workflow to support quality reporting requirements. This on-site role at Riverview Health's Westfield Hospital location requires six months of medical experience or physician billing/coding experience, with a high school diploma as the minimum education requirement.
Required Qualifications
- On-site position at Riverview Health's Westfield Hospital location
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Six (6) months or more Medical Experience or physician billing/coding experience in a physician practice setting
Desired Qualifications
- Prior endoscopy and/or surgery scheduling experience or related experience
- Three (3) or more years of experience with physician billing/coding experience
- Previous patient care experience in a physician practice setting
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, data entry and clinical documentation
