Job Summary
Clinical Specialist with Abbott provides clinical and sales education for Structural Heart products, including TEER, by training interventional cardiologists, cath lab staff, and ancillary personnel on device usage and by supporting procedures. Responsibilities include educating customers on product, clinical, and market data; collaborating with Territory Managers for case coverage and outcomes; engaging in clinical, procedural, and technical discussions; and identifying customer needs to offer feasible solutions. The role requires a strong clinical orientation and may travel in excess of 50%. Travel and clinical support duties, capability to discuss imaging and electrophysiology considerations, and familiarity with echo cardiology and indirect imaging are emphasized. The position may be hired at different levels based on experience and qualifies for Abbott’s health benefits and education programs. This is a remote-capable US-based role with additional US locations (San Francisco, CA and Honolulu, HI) as in-person or hybrid work options.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of structural heart or heart failure implantable device clinical experience
- 9+ years of related cardiovascular work experience
- Vaccination verification (COVID-19) or ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements
