Job Summary
The Clinical Sales Specialist (CSS) for Structural Heart/TAVI in Baltimore provides clinical trial and commercial case support, trial enrollment, and education initiatives for accounts within the defined region. The role educates interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and hybrid OR/cath lab personnel on Abbott TAVI products, scrubs in during procedures, analyzes CT valve sizing, manages trial and commercial inventory, and partners with the Territory Manager to drive clinical evidence and market share. Responsibilities include lead didactic education sessions, pre-case planning, post-case debriefings, Salesforce/Mentor data entry, vendor credentialing, and contributing to quarterly business reviews. Travel up to 50% as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BS) or BA or equivalent clinical degree (RCIS, Certified Cardiology Technician, RN, NP, PA)
- 6+ years clinical work experience in hospital or medical device industry with products for interventional cardiology/cardiac surgery/endovascular/TEVAR/EVAR/TCAR or demonstrated support of 100+ TAVI cases
- Vendor credentialing verification including potential vaccination for COVID-19
- Strong clinical background relevant to transcatheter/structural heart therapies
- Preferred: degree in life sciences; TAVI/transcatheter structural heart experience preferred
