Job Summary
Clinical Sales Specialist role in Indianapolis, IN, focusing on advancing orthopedic surgical product sales by providing clinical/technical support in operating rooms, managing instrumentation and asset deployment, coordinating billing and purchase orders, and collaborating with sales and clinical teams to drive revenue growth. Requires hospital/OR presence, travel (including potential weekend/overnight), and a background in healthcare with either a degree/association or medical certification. Responsibilities include direct surgeon support during surgeries, equipment readiness, operating room and Sterile Processing Department consultation, and maintaining promotional materials and service quality for DePuy Synthes orthopedics solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree or Medical Certification
- Valid driver’s license (U.S.)
- Ability to travel including weekend/overnight travel
- Residence in or willingness to relocate to assigned territory (Indiana)
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, influencing, problem-solving, and business acumen skills
- Experience or ability to work in a lab/operating room environment
- Technical product knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures (preferred)
- Ability to independently guide surgeons in operating rooms
- Effective hospital billing and purchase order management
- Willingness to support logistics including moving instruments and equipment
