Clinical Safety Specialist

Job Summary

Manage the adoption of the InterSystems Clinical Safety Management Framework and provide clinical safety assurance across all InterSystems products. Act as the escalation point for reported clinical safety issues, create safety reports from customer and support staff, and perform clinical safety assessments to investigate and assess clinical risk. Deliver clinical safety training to internal and external groups, participate in Clinical Safety Group activities, and create and maintain regional and project safety documentation. Provide clinical safety and risk assessment advice at customer sites, sharing lessons learned with the ISC team. Act as the Clinical Safety Officer or signatory as required. Requires 5-10 years of clinical experience in secondary care, clinical qualifications, and 10% travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Possesses a strong grasp of the clinical workflow in the full range of inpatient settings (including accident and emergency, maternity, and operating theatres) and outpatient settings
  • Proven clinical stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and strong influencing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload to meet demands
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • multi-lingual as required depending on location
  • Demonstrable experience of involvement in Clinical Governance activities
  • Implementation of successful clinical risk management activities
  • Clinical qualifications (Doctor, Senior Nurse, Pharmacist or Allied Health Professional)
  • Professional registrations
  • 5-10 years of clinical experience
  • Experience in a secondary care setting
  • Understanding of the clinical safety, ethical, and governance considerations associated with AI-enabled healthcare technologies
  • Must be prepared to undertake the role of Clinical Safety Officer (where applicable) or act as Clinical signatory on behalf of InterSystems as required
  • Travel: 10%
  • Special Work Hours: flexibility to support global business need

Desired Qualifications

  • EMR/ HIS Experience as a user of health information technology and/or implementation experience preferred
  • Experience in developing and delivering training materials and/ or coaching desirable
