Job Summary
Provide coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group in the Emergency Room, overseeing day-to-day clinical activities and supervising nursing and ancillary staff. Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate plans of care, uphold the California Nurse Practice Act and ANA ethics/standards, supervise patient lifts and mobilization, and contribute to overall department operations. Requires English proficiency and solid computer skills; certification requirements and licensure as a Registered Nurse in California are required. Generally a mid-level, full-time role with responsibilities spanning direct patient care, care coordination, and supervision within Palomar Health's Emergency Department.
Required Qualifications
- Current CA RN License
- PALS or ENPC within 6 months of hire
- CPI within 6 months of hire
- ACLS
- TNCC or equivalent
- BLS - Healthcare Provider
- English proficiency adequate for essential functions
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred Experience: 2+ years RN experience in area of specialty
- Minimum Experience: 1 year of directly related RN experience in area of specialty
