Job Summary
Primarily responsible for delivering coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients within the Emergency Room, supervising and directing activities of nursing and ancillary personnel, and coordinating plans of care with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Adheres to the California Nurse Practice Act and ANA ethics/standards. Includes observation and direction of patient lifts/mobilization, English-language proficiency for essential functions, and proficiency with standard office software. Performs other duties as assigned and follows Palomar Health policies; supports mission and quality commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Current CA RN License
- PALS or ENPC within 6 months of hire
- CPI within 6 months of hire
- ACLS
- BLS - Healthcare Provider
- TNCC core requirement or completion within 1 year of hire
- Education: As required by certification and/or licensure
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum Experience: 1 year of directly related RN experience in area of specialty
- Preferred Experience: 2+ years of directly related RN experience in area of specialty
