Job Summary
Clinical Risk & Safety Manager responsible for implementing and managing clinical risk and patient safety programs to support a culture of safety and risk reduction. Partners with clinical, operational, quality, legal, compliance, HR, and medical leadership to identify, investigate, trend, and mitigate patient safety events, clinical risks, complaints, and adverse incidents. Core duties include event reporting, incident investigation, root cause analysis (RCA), safety rounding, regulatory readiness, complaint management, education, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen safe, high-quality patient care. Gathers, analyzes, and reports patient safety and risk data to identify trends and drive corrective actions. Role involves remote work with strong preference for being local to the Carrollwood/Tampa corporate office; travel up to 30% nationally is required. Oversees risk management program administration, safety audits, drills, and training; leads committees promoting safety and quality of care; maintains PHI security per HIPAA; and collaborates across departments to sustain a culture of safety.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current state licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- 5+ years of clinical RN experience
- 3+ years in healthcare quality, safety and/or risk management
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 30% nationally
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider required
