Job Summary
Provide consultation and training in IDD and autism services across multiple Texas counties, addressing medical, behavioral, or psychiatric challenges in community settings. Conduct case consultations requiring knowledge of Medicaid Waiver systems (HCS, CLASS, MDCP, TxHML), LMHA, and LIDDA functions. Identify caregiver training needs, develop curricula, and present trainings regularly both virtually and in person. Organize the collection, tracking, and reporting of data from consults and trainings while acting as a system-of-care resource. Requires a Master's degree, professional license (OT, SLP, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT), and experience with challenging behaviors. Full or part-time Monday through Friday 8am-5:00pm available.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree and license in related healthcare field
- Valid Texas Driver's license
- Experience working with others and with persons who exhibit challenging behaviors or have complex medical needs
- Must be able to perform light (15lb), pushing, stooping, light carrying (15lb), repeated bending, reaching above shoulder, simple grasping, hearing, walking and sitting, running and some lifting
- Must have the ability to see, write, operate office equipment, and operate motor vehicle and have depth perception
Desired Qualifications
- good knowledge of the Medicaid Waiver system (HCS, CLASS, MDCP, TxHML), LMHA and LIDDA functions, and support resources for both individuals and families
- familiarity with various topics related to support and services for individuals of all ages who have IDD or autism
