Job Summary
Lead improvement efforts to achieve organizational goals within the quality and safety performance improvement plan and outperform benchmarks for nurse-sensitive quality indicators. Educate patients and families regarding health status and established plans of care, utilizing EHR education tools to document learning outcomes. Evaluate patient progress toward expected outcomes, assess variations, and modify interventions based on interdisciplinary team collaboration. Coordinate unit activities to create a healing environment, lead unit projects to improve throughput efficiencies, and analyze delegation practices to ensure activities follow professional standards. Serve as a support, resource, and preceptor for nursing staff and students while engaging in self-assessment and peer review. Comply with annual education and mandatory regulatory requirements, including the New York State Nurse Practice Act.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York
- Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association
- Fluent written and spoken English language skills
- Registered Nurse License-NYS
- Basic Life Support Cert
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
