Job Summary
Clinical Resource Nurse in the Inpatient Cardiac Unit provides nursing resource support to physicians, staff, patients, and families. The role functions as a conduit for communication among medical staff, nursing staff, patients, families and ancillary departments, and promotes Patient and Family-Centered Care. Demonstrates strong leadership, critical thinking, and customer service to ensure high-quality patient care; mentors staff in clinical skills; collaborates with Hospital Coordinators/Physicians regarding admissions, transfers and discharges; plans and adjusts nursing care using the nursing process; serves as liaison among patients, families, the unit, physicians, and the healthcare team; participates in quality control and care coordination; maintains appropriate staffing levels and adheres to productivity standards. Requires RN licensure and BLS within specified timelines; 3+ years of clinical experience is preferred. Location: Rapid City, SD. Equal Opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Education - Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association
- Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (preferred)
