Job Summary
Conduct clinical research procedures including blood pressure monitoring, venipuncture, and ECG/Holter collection while ensuring dietary compliance for healthy volunteer participants. Perform accurate biological sample processing, room preparation, and screening assistance to maintain a safe, efficient study environment. Utilize electronic data systems for recording vital signs and protocol adherence in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Full-time office/clinic-based role in Madison, WI with potential for varied hours and on-call rotation. Requires High School Diploma or equivalent, with EMT, Phlebotomy, or CMA certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years as a Clinical Research Technician I
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Ability to work in an upright and/or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day
- Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate lab equipment
- Occasional crouching, stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck
- Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf
- Light to moderate lifting and carrying, or moving of objects, including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA or CNA certification
- Associates degree in related field
- 1 year of clinical research experience
- Bachelor's degree (substituted for Associates degree if 1 year of clinical research experience is present)
- Bachelor's degree (substituted for BS degree if 1-2 years as a Clinical Research Technician I is present)
