Job Summary
Provide high standard of care for participants in clinical trials and respond to emergency situations based on clinical research standards. Accurately perform blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature readings. Prepare and record ECGs/Holters, collect biological samples per protocol, and monitor meals for dietary compliance. Assist with room preparation, medical equipment setup, and screening procedures while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient study environment. This full-time, on-site role in Madison, WI supports Early Phase Clinical Research Units focused on establishing drug safety and tolerability. You will work with leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in a fast-paced environment requiring constant adaptation and strong teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in an upright and/or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day
- Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate lab equipment
- Occasional crouching, stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck
- Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf
- Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Varied hours
Desired Qualifications
- EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA or CNA certification, preferred
- 0 – 1 year of related experience
