Job Summary
Clinical Research Nurse (RN) Manager leading trauma research efforts within Atrium Health Navicent Trauma Services. Oversees research staff training and utilization, manages research financial operations, ensures proper accounting of grants and professional service agreements, and maintains contractual relationships between Principal Investigators and the organization. Partners with Principal Investigators and legal teams to establish and maintain resource agreements for patient populations used in research. Ensures compliance with applicable federal/state regulations and hospital policies, manages CTAs for financial viability, supports IRB-related decision-making, and drives opportunities for participation in relevant research. Focuses on customer service excellence for participants, monitors participant satisfaction, and collaborates with affiliated clinicians, institutional administration, and private practitioners. Involves developing new research infrastructure, coordinating clinical research across area and affiliated off-site entities, and contributing to strategic development and viability of extant projects. Required Qualifications
- RN Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Master’s degree or educational equivalent (required) with emphasis on research, financial operations and compliance
- Minimum of three years in the functional area with supervisory experience
- Knowledge of financial modeling and accounting principles in hospital/academic settings
- Knowledge of federal and state compliance laws, regulations and legislation
- Familiarity with CPT and HCPCS codes
- HIPAA compliance experience
- Strong negotiation, communication, and mediation skills
- Advanced computer skills with spreadsheet and database knowledge
