Job Summary
Clinical Research Nurse responsible for direct patient care within clinical trials, including phlebotomy, monitoring vital signs, screening and enrollment of participants, coordinating protocol-related procedures, collecting participant history and maintaining source documentation, preparing IRB submissions, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Under supervision of an investigator, conducts health assessments within nursing scope, monitors adverse events, administers study interventions as directed, and supports safety and data integrity across multiple trials. Requires current RN/LPN licensure in IA, an Associate Degree in Nursing, BLS, and at least three years of experience in a health-related clinical or research setting. In-person role located in Des Moines, IA; full-time with typical 40-hour weeks; strong organizational, communication, and computer skills essential. Required Qualifications
- Current RN/LPN licensure in the state of employment.
- Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
- Certification in Clinical Research Coordination (CCRC) preferred.
- BLS required
- Three years prior experience in a health-related clinic or research setting
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Strong organizational skills
- Working knowledge of clinical trials
- Effective time management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, coworkers, managers, and clients.
- Practice a high level of integrity, honesty, and in maintaining confidentiality.
