Job Summary
The Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator will manage and execute clinical trial activities in accordance with GCP, FDA regulations, IRB approvals, and SOPs. Responsibilities include coordinating participant care during study visits, performing or supervising procedures (phlebotomy, ECGs, vital signs, BMI, specimen collection, investigational product administration), obtaining informed consent, maintaining source documentation and CRFs (paper or electronic), identifying adverse events and protocol deviations, supporting start-up and close-out procedures, inventory management, and serving as a clinical resource/mentor for junior staff. Requires an active Maryland RN license, BSN, ACLS (or ability to obtain within 3 months), and at least 3 years of clinical research/coordination experience; familiarity with GCP/ICH/FDA requirements; strong organizational/communication skills; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in clinical research or a similar clinical coordination role
- ACLS certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire)
- Strong knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, and FDA regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in electronic data capture systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
