Job Summary
Build, requisition, and procure study device kits per forecast while ensuring accountability for shipment, inventory, and disposition records. Process specimens collected at the Seattle clinic through centrifugation, aliquoting, and storage per protocols, supporting on-site phlebotomy as needed. Maintain specimen inventory, storage conditions, and tracking records while following standard operating procedures. Ship study kits and specimens to partner laboratories and clinic sites, preparing chain-of-custody documentation and manifests. Perform routine instrument quality control and maintenance on in-house analyzers, schedule biohazard waste disposal, and manage laboratory documents. Primarily on-site in Seattle five days per week with occasional travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Primarily on-site in Seattle five days per week
- Hold an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Have 2+ years of experience in specimen handling, clinical/laboratory operations, materials or inventory coordination, or a comparable role
- Demonstrated reliability managing supply, inventory, or logistics pipelines that carry external dependencies and lead times
- Strong organizational skills and consistent follow-through on long-horizon, deadline-driven dependencies
- Experience with specimen processing, packaging, and chain of custody
- Detail-oriented and self-directed
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation (e.g., hematology analyzers, plate readers)
- Phlebotomy certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn research inventory and data systems
- Occasional travel to partner laboratories or study sites may be required (estimated up to 10%)
- GCP and IATA training (to be completed within 30 days of hire if not already held)
- Able to lift and handle laboratory shipments and supplies as needed
- Able to perform ther responsibilities as assigned
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation (e.g., hematology analyzers, plate readers) preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
