Job Summary

Develop and coordinate clinical research budgets for NIH and pharmaceutical-sponsored trials, resolving issues related to billing, milestones, and payments. Serve as the budgeting resource for clinical projects, assist with study feasibility assessments, and review payment terms while documenting all communications. Train finance staff and prepare presentations. This role supports breakthrough makers at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, advancing pediatric care through rigorous financial analysis and stakeholder collaboration.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least five (5) years of financial experience
  • At least three (3) years of clinical, research or healthcare related experience

Desired Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years of budgeting or cost planning experience
  • At least three (3) years of medical coverage (Medicaid) analysis
  • Intermediate knowledge of regulations regarding participant welfare in research including Institutional Review Board (IRB), Food and Drug Administration guidelines (FDA), reporting requirements for adverse events, and elements of informed consent
  • Intermediate knowledge of clinical regulations and guidelines including the International Conference on Harmonisation - Good Clinical Practices (ICH/GCP)
  • Intermediate knowledge of research protocols and related government regulations
  • Intermediate proficiency in clinical trial management system software(CTMS)
  • Intermediate proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent critical thinking / problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
