Job Summary
Lead Clinical Research Coordinator for Infectious Diseases at The Ohio State University. Oversees daily conduct of protocol activities, recruits and enrolls eligible patients, and ensures informed consent is obtained in compliance with regulatory and sponsor requirements. Educates patients and families about the purpose and processes of the clinical study; coordinates scheduling of visits, collects and processes biological samples, and coordinates procedures and diagnostic testing. Monitors patient safety and adverse reactions, reports findings to sponsors and applicable regulatory agencies, and contributes to data collection, analysis, and reporting. Develops standardized scoring for diagnostic/psychological/behavioral assessments; ensures IRB/FDA and sponsor regulatory compliance; supports grant submissions, publications, and proposals; trains, mentors, and supervises staff; collaborates with principal investigators and the Center for Clinical Research Management. Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work across multiple clinical research studies in infectious diseases.
