Clinical Research Coordinator

Job Summary

Conduct clinical research as outlined in study protocols, including participant screening, eligibility determination, and appointment scheduling. Collect, edit, and record study data via interviews, questionnaires, and medical record reviews while performing quality assurance monitoring. Manage daily trial operations, support case management activities, and coordinate with sponsors and CROs. Recruit participants to a broad range of studies and assist in preparing annual IRB reviews and project reports. Travel to other clinics in the St Louis metro area and Sullivan, MO as needed, with mileage reimbursement provided.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Favorable result on background check
  • Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
  • At least one (1) year of experience collecting information using one of the following methods: Telephone/face-to-face interviews
  • At least one (1) year of experience collecting or processing data for research or Quality Assurance purposes
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and disease processes; medical record organization and interpretation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Able to use computers and software programs for complex tracking of participant tasks
  • Employees must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
  • Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands are essential
  • Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—is required 100% of the time
  • Occasional driving or climbing may also be necessary

Desired Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience in health research or research data collection is preferred
  • Familiarity with classification of disease processes is preferred
  • Knowledge of basic research ethics and principles is preferred
  • Proficiency in refracting patients needed
