Job Summary
Coordinate all aspects of clinical trials from initiation to completion under supervision, organizing research information and observing subjects for data analysis and reporting. Schedule data collection, review and report adverse events and protocol deviations, and monitor research data to ensure quality and compliance. Perform administrative and regulatory duties, educate potential participants on protocol details, and conduct safety and efficacy assessments including vital signs, EKGs, and blood draws. Assist the Clinical Trial Manager with vendor oversight, accounting, recruitment, and staff training while ensuring sites receive accurate information and supplies. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at an in-patient capable research facility specializing in complex early phase trials.
Required Qualifications
- Must have experience and demonstrate mastery of a Clinical Research Coordinator position
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Bachelors Degree
- 2-3 years of experience in the medical field
- Knowledge and understanding of Federal regulations protecting human subjects in research and that govern the conduct of clinical trials
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be available for shift work
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to report to work as scheduled
Desired Qualifications
- CCRC certification preferred
- Bachelors Degree, preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in the medical field, preferred
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels of the organization, along with those at the sponsor and vendor level
- Crisis management and problem solving skills; ability to react calmly and effectively in emergent situations
- Works independently as well as functioning as part of a team
