Job Summary
Clinical Research Associate II based in Central Florida with field assignment in Orlando, supporting AbbVie’s clinical trials. Responsible for being the primary point of contact for investigative sites, coordinating site evaluations and trainings, ensuring protocol compliance and GCP standards, developing and executing site engagement strategies, supporting patient recruitment and retention, mentoring less experienced CRAs, and collaborating across global/local task forces. Requires advanced understanding of study protocol to relate scientific principles to day-to-day trial execution, effective risk assessment, and strong stakeholder engagement to deliver high-quality data and patient safety. Eligible to participate in AbbVie’s compensation and benefits programs; pay range tributes reflect geographic location and job grade.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of clinically related experience, of which a period of 6 months is required in clinical research monitoring of investigational drug or device trials
- Familiar with risk-based monitoring approach, onsite and offsite monitoring
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to leverage technology for site support
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Candidate must have a tertiary qualification in health related disciplines (Medical, Scientific, Nursing) preferred
