Clinical Research Assistant

Job Summary
Assist Clinical Research Coordinators and site staff in executing assigned studies by conducting patient screening, managing follow-up visits, and scheduling appointments. Perform clinical tasks including obtaining vital signs, ECGs, and blood draws, while executing basic lab procedures such as specimen collection, centrifugation, and shipping. Document findings in source clinic charts, enter data into EDC systems, and answer queries. Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient and company information in compliance with HIPAA and GCP regulations. Requires a high school diploma, one year of administrative or clinical experience, and proficiency with Microsoft applications. Full-time role with benefits-eligible status starting the month after hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- 1 year of administrative / clinical experience
- 1 year or more years of clinical research or clinical experience
- Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) proficiency
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft applications, email, electronic health records, web applications
- Ability to type proficiently (40+ wpm)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and listening skills
- Ability to work well independently as well as with co-workers, subjects, managers and external customers
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and adapt to changes in workloads and priorities
- Professionalism, respect for others, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic
- High degree of integrity and dependability
- Ability to work under minimal supervision, identify problems and implement solutions
- Ability to handle highly sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner, and in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
