Job Summary
Assign staff according to policies to ensure equal distribution of duties and complete rounds to assess residents and care needs. Report concerns to appropriate staff and receive reports from charge nurses while completing shift reports for the Director of Nursing. Manage direct patient care using sound nursing judgment, delegate responsibilities per policy, and develop measurable staff goals. Document and communicate care plans, implement resident/family teaching, and demonstrate clinical competence to assess physical, spiritual, psychological, and emotional needs. Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures, monitor pharmacy recommendations monthly, and complete QAPI tasks. Requires current RN license, two years of supervisory experience preferred, and ability to lift heavy objects. Pay range: $63,943 - $106,407 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state you will be working
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary
- Ability to transfer and move residents who vary with ability to assist weighing 200+lbs using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary
- Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with residents and equipment
- Ability to perform necessary documentation
- Visual acuity
- Ability to manage a diversity of activities
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of long-term care supervisory experience preferred
- Three to five years of long-term care experience or similar nursing experience
- Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with patients, visitors, and staff
- Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards
