Job Summary
Design, coordination, and implementation of nutritional care and education for hospitalized and outpatient patients in accordance with established standards of care. Provides individualized medical nutrition therapy integrated with medical goals, evaluates and documents nutritional status, identifies age-specific nutrition counseling needs, inspects meals for diet conformance, calculates calorie counts/enteral intake, communicates nutrition needs to other healthcare providers via the EMR and interdisciplinary rounds, develops educational materials, participates as an integral member of the clinical team, and maintains RD status through continuing education. May assist in the kitchen as needed and performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Food/Nutrition Services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, or comparable major
- Licensed as a Registered Dietitian by the State of Ohio
- Certified as a Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
