Job Summary

Clinical Radiotherapy Physicist I within the Radiation Dosimetry Core conducting QA for linear accelerators and CT simulators, contributing to commissioning of new equipment, maintaining QA databases, cross-calibration of dosimetry equipment (ion chambers, electrometers), and supporting clinical operations across MSK facilities. Lead or support projects in the Radiation Dosimetry Core with emphasis on commissioning, QA, and advanced dosimetry; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including radiation oncologists and radiation therapists. Core skills include expertise in radiotherapy physics with QA/dosimetry focus, operation/maintenance of Linac and CT simulator QA systems, and programming/database skills. Requires Master’s degree in medical physics or related physical sciences, ABR eligibility or certification, NY license and NJ registration or eligibility, travel ability, and a hybrid work arrangement with 3-5 days onsite at MSK locations (e.g., 1275 York Ave, New York, NY). This role offers a flexible schedule with opportunities for professional development and participation in cross-site QA programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in medical physics or related physical sciences (or equivalent)
  • ABR (or equivalent) board certification or eligibility
  • New York State License and New Jersey registration or eligibility for both
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel periodically to all MSK facilities as required
