Job Summary
Shall be a representative of nursing administration and coordinate clinical, operational, and managerial activities to accomplish the objectives of the assigned nursing area. Responsibilities include quality risk and risk-score adjustment programs, quality improvement reviews and audits, chart reviews with documentation of findings and referrals for medical director review, and required reporting. Will perform HEDIS record reviews and assist with clinical questions related to chart reviews; collaborate with internal/external departments to ensure workflow completion; manage record review processes with IT and providers/vendors, and coordinate outreach for medical services. Must be analytical, organized, and able to multi-task; proficient in Word and Excel; may serve as a liaison for accrediting/governing agencies. May include duties related to sleep medicine accreditation or regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred (CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Minimum of five years of nursing experience
- Current unencumbered RN license in state of practice and/or multistate licensure if in an NLC state
- Quality improvement/accident/medical coding experience preferred
- CPHQ or medical coding certification preferred but not required
