Job Summary
Conduct direct care including individual, couple, family, and group therapeutic services for patients, children, adolescents, adults, and families. Perform initial mental health assessments, psychological/neuropsychological testing, and discharge planning. Deliver brief, solution-focused therapy and group psychoeducation while coordinating services with multidisciplinary team members and external partners. Maintain daily/weekly appointments in electronic records and complete biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning documentation. Supervise psychology trainees in accordance with ABA compliance and participate in the high-risk program. Demonstrate cultural competency and commitment to the LGBTQ+ community.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D or Psy.D)
- Possession of valid clinical license in Connecticut
- Ability to diagnose using DSM 5
- Experience providing direct clinical care
Desired Qualifications
- Neuropsychological or psychological testing experience
- Experience supervising trainees/students
- Additional certifications in specialized clinical care such as DBT, CBT, trauma informed care, etc.
- Experience/knowledge of substance use disorders
- Experience/competency in working with LGBTQ+
