Job Summary
Provide direct care including individual, couple, family, and group therapeutic services to patients, including assessments, treatment plans, discharge planning, and psychological testing/evaluations. Conduct initial mental health assessments resulting in measurement-based care planning and participate in care coordination with multidisciplinary team members and external partners. Deliver brief, solution-focused therapy and group psychoeducation related to specific diagnoses, while maintaining daily and weekly scheduled appointments in electronic records systems. Complete required documentation, biopsychosocial assessments, and treatment planning in a timely manner. Work in our high-risk program demonstrating cultural competency with the LGBTQ+ community and supervise psychology trainees in accordance with ABA compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D or Psy.D)
- Possession of valid clinical license in Connecticut
- Ability to diagnose using DSM 5
- Experience providing direct clinical care
Desired Qualifications
- Neuropsychological or psychological testing experience
- Experience supervising trainees/students
- Additional certifications in specialized clinical care such as DBT, CBT, trauma informed care, etc.
- Experience/knowledge of substance use disorders
- Experience/competency in working with LGBTQ+
