Job Summary
Provide direct care through individual, couple, family, and group therapeutic services, including assessments, treatment plans, discharge planning, and psychological testing. Conduct initial mental health assessments to establish measurement-based care plans and offer brief, solution-focused therapy alongside group psychoeducation. Coordinate services for children, adolescents, adults, and families while maintaining daily appointments in electronic records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and external partners, participate in high-risk programs, and supervise psychology trainees per ABA compliance. Complete biopsychosocial assessments and documentation in a timely manner while demonstrating cultural competency with the LGBTQ+ community.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D or Psy.D)
- Possession of valid clinical license in Connecticut
- Ability to diagnose using DSM 5
- Experience providing direct clinical care
- Demonstrates cultural competency and commitment to patients ,including LGBTQ+ community
Desired Qualifications
- Neuropsychological or psychological testing experience
- Experience supervising trainees/students
- Additional certifications in specialized clinical care such as DBT, CBT, trauma informed care, etc.
- Experience/knowledge of substance use disorders
- Experience/competency in working with LGBTQ+
