Job Summary
Clinical Psychologist to provide counseling services at the Military Medical Center (MOMMC), 99th Medical Treatment Facility (MTF), Nellis Air Force Base, NV. Conduct psychological evaluations, diagnose psychiatric disorders per DSM-5, and treat patients in outpatient and inpatient settings using a range of modalities including psychopharmacology. Responsibilities include collaboration within the mental health flight multidisciplinary team, liaising with commanders and medical leadership, involvement in medical readiness and potential assessments for Medical Evaluation Boards, and participation in on-call coverage as scheduled. Requires licensure in at least one US jurisdiction and a Doctorate in psychology (PsyD/PhD) from an APA-accredited program, plus a minimum of two years of post-degree experience. Ability to work within MTF policies and maintain confidentiality for sensitive information.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Philosophy (PH.D.) or Psy. D. degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA accredited program or equivalent
- Current, full, active, unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any one of the 50 states, DC, PR, or US Virgin Islands
- Minimum of two years of experience as a clinical psychologist post-PhD/PsyD
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
- Experience with psychological evaluations, DSM diagnoses, outpatient and inpatient treatment modalities
- Knowledge of ethics and MTF privileges
- Ability to prepare assessments for Medical Evaluation Boards and interact with medical leadership
- Ability to work with security clearances and personnel reliability programs
- On-call responsibilities as scheduled
