Job Summary
Clinical Psychologist position for a part-time, hybrid schedule conducting one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Owensboro, KY. The role requires licensure as a psychologist or psychiatrist in at least one US state, with PhD or PsyD in psychology (APA-accredited program) and BLS certification. Exams are web-based and electronically documented, with results submitted to the Department of Veterans Affairs for disability determinations. Core focus areas include PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. Responsibilities include reviewing mental health history, capturing responses during the exam via web forms, and providing professional, independent assessment within tight deadlines. Schedule: part-time, 2-3 days hybrid (face-to-face and telework) with 2 days in-office as requested. Benefits include a competitive package and 401(k). Prior VA or C&P experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a psychologist or psychiatrist licensed in at least one state in the United States
- Psychiatrists or Neurologists must be board certified or must have completed a 2-year residency with either specialty
- Psychologists must obtain a PhD or PsyD with a Major in Psychology; Specialty studies must focus on the adult population such as Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology (or a combination of these)
- Psychologists must have graduated from a doctorate or post-doctorate APA-accredited program
- Certification: Have an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using EMR and platforms
- Skilled in professional communication, critical thinking, and informed-care decision-making
- Works independently and can manage time in order to provide a quality service while meeting set deadlines
