Job Summary
Clinical Psychologist conducts in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans, reviews electronic medical records via a secure web portal, and documents exam findings to complete VA forms. The role does not involve treatment or prescribing medications. Part-time schedule (3 days per week: Monday–Wednesday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM) with an average caseload of 4 Veterans per day, in-person location in Nebraska. Requires Ph.D. or Psy.D from an APA-accredited program and an active psychology license; proficient with electronic documentation and web-based portals; professional, empathetic demeanor and strong time-management skills. Equipment and tools for documentation are provided. Compensation is salary-based and benefits include health insurance and 401K; malpractice insurance is covered by the employer. No on-call duties. Schedule and duties focus on focused medical assessments within the VA disability process; patient treatment or medication management is not part of the role.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Psy.D from an APA-accredited program
- Active and unrestricted Psychology license
- Proficiency with electronic documentation and web-based portals
- Ability to conduct in-person disability assessments and document findings for VA disability determinations
