Job Summary
Conduct psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, testing, and collateral sources to establish psychiatric diagnoses per the DSM. Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups, helping medical and surgical patients manage illnesses or injuries. Perform targeted assessments focused on functional status and presenting problems while adhering to state licensing board guidelines and APA ethical principles. This role supports the Primary Care Behavioral Health team at the Naval Branch Health Clinic in Belle Chasse, LA. The position requires a Ph.D. or Psy.D. with an active unrestricted license, minimum one year of experience, and current BLS certification. No weekends, calls, or holidays are required.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited psychology program
- Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a licensed clinical psychologist
- Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist from any state
- Possess a current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance
