Job Summary
Clinical Placement Specialist role in NYC ACS responsible for convening permanency teams with family members and professionals, assessing level of care using OCFS-approved instruments, preparing court reports and summaries, attending court hearings to present assessments, assisting with permanency planning and re-assessment if court directs changes, and maintaining comprehensive case records in the designated systems. Requires advanced social work licensure (LCSW/LMSW) and relevant experience in family engagement, court communications, and clinical services for children and families. The position supports QRTP placements under FFPSA and involves collaboration with placement offices and contracted providers to ensure appropriate, least-restrictive placement options and timely documentation for court proceedings.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work
- NY State Registration as an LCSW or LMSW (or ability to obtain within 1 year)
- 1+ year of post-graduate experience in related modalities (family team conferences/decision-making, group work with families, or related training)
