Job Summary
Under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, assists with ensuring smooth and accurate pharmacy operations in accordance with Option Care Health policies & procedures, and the state's professional standards & regulations. Responsibilities include review/validation of basic prescription refills and processing; assisting with preparing/dispensing medications and supplies; maintaining equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and reporting defects; collecting and maintaining basic patient information to plan materials, supplies, equipment, and prescriptions; ensuring a positive patient experience by answering basic questions and requests; inventory tasks including receiving, stocking, verifying quantities, reviewing expiration dates, identifying shortages, picking/packing materials, creating tickets, and data entry; site and supplies maintenance including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces and laminar hood flows. Requires High School Diploma or GED, 0-6 months of relevant experience, and licensing/registration within 6 months if state requires; preferred to have prior healthcare/pharmacy technician experience. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform basic/intermediate math; proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0 to 6 months of relevant experience
- Licensed or registered within 6 months of hire (if required by state)
- Completion of the OCH designated training course within 6 months of hire (if licensure and/or training course is required by the state)
- Basic level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
