Job Summary
Interact with patients requiring clinical intervention under direct supervision of the Pharmacy Business Manager and Clinical Programs Manager. Work closely with the Prior Authorization team, Patient Assistance Program Specialists, Clinical Coordinators, and Outpatient Pharmacy staff to relay and obtain pertinent information. Communicate with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and colleagues to serve patient needs, provide on-call services as required, and participate in process improvement. Develop relationships with patients and engage in other duties related to the day-to-day operations of the outpatient pharmacies. This role supports Johns Hopkins Care at Home's mission to restore, maintain, and promote health through collaborative care across multiple sites.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- NHA or PTCB certification
- Five (5) years retail pharmacy technician experience
- Specialized, assessment-based Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certificate
- Drug-free workplace status
