Job Summary
Process prescription refills for drugs, PN/high risk, and heparin/saline; count, pour, and mix pharmaceuticals; package products into appropriate containers and label containers. Maintain accurate inventory levels through validation and reporting of received supplies; develop purchase orders to address shortages; validate removal of expired supplies and schedule deliveries. Collect and maintain patient data for assessments; respond to non-routine patient questions and requests. Clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows; organize supplies. Provide training to Clinical Pharmacy Technician I's under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. Ensure smooth and accurate pharmacy operations in accordance with Option Care Health policies, state professional standards, and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience
- Must be licensed or registered (if required by state)
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Able to perform basic & intermediate level mathematical calculations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Word
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel
- Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching
- Ability to carry at least 30lbs
