Job Summary
Provides pharmaceutical care in the Intensive Care Unit at Virtua Mt. Holly Hospital, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers. Performs patient rounds, evaluates medication prescribing patterns, conducts Drug Use Evaluations, and provides education to patients/families and health care practitioners. Participates in medication safety initiatives, develops and maintains monitoring criteria in sub-specialty areas, and represents the Pharmacy Dept. in system-wide and divisional committees. Also precepts pharmacy residents and students and contributes to guideline/protocol development and education for the pharmacy and clinical departments.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or BS and comparable clinical experience
- PGY-1 Pharmacy Required
- PGY-2 Critical Care Preferred
- Active New Jersey pharmacy license
