Job Summary
Coordinate ambulatory clinical pharmacist and technician services with specialty pharmacy, training, education, and productivity metrics. Support leadership activities, coordinate quality and process improvement initiatives, and represent the pharmacy department on multidisciplinary committees. Ensure staff competency, compliance, and professional development under the direction of the Ambulatory Manager and Director. Provide optimal pharmaceutical care and lead clinical and operational activities to ensure optimal patient outcomes. All activities adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulations with patient welfare paramount. Requires a Texas Pharmacist License, BPS Board Certification, and relevant clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an American Council on Pharmacy Education accredited school of pharmacy
- Minimum of two years' experience as a clinical pharmacist in a health system
- Texas Pharmacist License or eligible for Texas Licensure as a registered pharmacist
- Pharmacist and pharmacy preceptor licensure must be obtained within 90 days of employment
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification within 30 days of employment
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (critical care areas only) within 30 days of employment
- BPS Board Certification required within 1 year of certification eligibility
Desired Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of a post-graduate year I residency in a comparable health care setting
- Previous leadership and/or supervisory experience
