Job Summary

Develop and monitor clinical pharmacy programs to enhance patient care and reduce costs within the 32-bed Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit. Provide clinical services to patients and staff while collaborating with medical personnel on drug utilization and cost containment. Supervise department employees as needed in consultation with the department Director or Pharmacy Manager. Requires PGY2 training or fellowship, a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree, Texas licensure, and proficiency in pharmacy computer systems.

Required Qualifications

  • PGY2 training or Fellowship
  • Ability to promote teamwork, build effective relationships, and lead/facilitate work groups
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proficiency in pharmacy and hospital computer systems, as well as computer-assisted devices
  • Familiarity with the healthcare reimbursement environment
  • Doctorate of Pharmacy degree
  • Licensure in the State of Texas

Desired Qualifications

  • Completion of ASHP accredited pharmacy practice residency or fellowship, or demonstration of equivalent experience preferred
