Job Summary
Evaluate, process, and monitor physician orders for medications and pharmaceutical supplies while serving as a drug information resource for healthcare professionals. Manage complex clinical services including drug therapy, pharmacokinetics, multidisciplinary rounding, and adverse drug reactions. Assist nurses and prescribers with medication challenges and cost containment, document interventions in electronic medical records, and counsel patients on appropriate drug use. Precept pharmacy residents and participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee activities. Maintain accreditation knowledge and perform centralized staff pharmacist duties as operations demand.
Required Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge of appropriate drug use for adult/pediatric/neonatal patients
- Experience with interdepartmental collaboration among all levels within an organization
- Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software
- Maintains proficiency with Epic Willow and/or Ambulatory software
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
- BS pharmacy degree with pediatric experience
- Current License by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy
- A Post Graduate Year 1 Pharmacy Residency (PGY1) OR equivalent experience
